Touch-panel
Optionally there are two version of the module with integrated touch panels. By touching the display you can enter data and adjust settings via menus or bar graphs. The labelling of the "keys" is flexible and can also be changed during runtime (different languages, icons). The drawing of the individual "keys" as well as the labelling is completely handled by the built-in software. Depending on the application, you may prefer the analogue resistive touch panel, which can be operated with pens or thick gloves, or the capacitive version, which has an insensitive glass surface that can also be operated with thin gloves.
Touch-panel adjustment
The version (EA uniTFTxxx-ATC) with capacitive touch-panel can't be adjusted. It is already factory calibrated and maintains this calibration.
The version (EA uniTFTxxx-ATP) with resistive touch-panel is factory calibrated. Due to aging and usage, it may be necessary to re-calibrate the touch panel using the following procedure:
1a) |
Send command #XXT, or |
1b) |
Press touch while powering on. If the message "touch adjustment ? / Enter Bootmenue" is shown, release the touch-panel. Within one second, press again somewhere on the the touch-panel and keep pressed for another second at least. |
2) |
Follow the instructions on the screen for calibration (Hit 2 points: Bottom left and top right) |
To avoid misuse by the operator, the touch adjustment function can be deactivated. For this purpose, an empty file named "touchadjust.off" must be installed on the SD Card in the root directory. This can be done with the mass storage mode and Windows Explorer or with uniTFT commands:
#FWO</touchadjust.off>
